We are now back home and it feels good to be back. We had a fun trip to Oregon and had a lot of fun seeing friends and family. We left Thursday March 13, 2008 and three days later and a few pictures later, we arrived in Oregon. The first picture at the top left is a picture of the Joshua Forest (Joshua Tree's), somewhere between Wickenburg and Kingman Arizona, taken while driving. A lot of these pictures are "drive-by photography". We stopped at the Hoover Dam. It was the first time the kids and I had been there and it really is a beautiful sight! We ended day one of our trip to Oregon in St. George Utah, where we stayed with Grandpa Coombs and Deanna. The St. George Temple is so beautiful. Starting with day two just outside of St. George, we had our first encounter with snow! You can see just how cramped the kids were in the back seat...someday we'll get a van! Aubree had hair static most of the trip. And we ended our second day in Boise, Idaho where we found a Krispie Kreme for breakfast. We also stopped and visited with my friend Stacey and her family! Day three there was a lot of snow! In Ezra's words: "This is why I wanted to see snow, it's so cool!" It snowed on us as we passed through the Blue Mountains, and we stopped to let the kids have some fun in the snow. Driving through the snow was the easy part, when we hit the Columbia Gorge, the rain cloud you see in the distance in the last picture was a very scary storm that we ended up driving through. But we made it safely to Salem.
